This tour leaves the private dock of the Tides Inn, a Virginia tradition since 1947.  Learn about Virginia River Realm’s oyster industry, oyster ecology and tools of the harvest, then accompany a traditional watermen by boat for a 1 hour harvest excursion.  After the voyage, watch shucking demos and learn the art of pairing oysters with sauces and wine.  It is an amazing experience and no two are alike.

Tastes by the Bay

This highly anticipated Sixth year event will include samplings from Virginia wineries, Virginia craft brews, tastings from local restaurants, live music by JJ & Co., and Michael Burgess, maritime attractions, and just in time for the holiday shopping season- a variety of artisan vendors.

Annual Irvington Turkey Trot

Scenic walk/run loop through historic Irvington and surrounding areas. 100 Yard Tot Trot for the children.  A “must do” event for families reuniting for the Thanksgiving holiday in the Northern Neck of Virginia.  Great community support and you are home by noon to enjoy your well-deserved Thanksgiving feast!
